This groundbreaking program will provide participants with:
Comprehensive Business Training: Access to expert instruction in areas such as business planning, marketing, finance, and operations.
Mentorship and Guidance: One-on-one support from experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals who will offer personalized advice and guidance.
Networking Opportunities: Connections with potential investors, customers, and other entrepreneurs in the business community.
Access to Resources: Tools and resources to help participants launch and grow their businesses, including access to co-working spaces, technology, and funding opportunities.
“We are thrilled to launch the Perry Benjamin Hall Entrepreneurship Program and provide a supportive ecosystem for these talented young adults,” said Matthew Reeds, Co-Founder of Reeds Fund. “We believe that fostering entrepreneurship within this community will not only create economic opportunities for individuals but also grow Maryland's economy.
The Perry Benjamin Hall Entrepreneurship Program, named after the co-founder’s great uncle who was autistic, will incorporate a flexible and adaptable learning environment, recognizing the diverse needs of its participants. The program will utilize a blended learning approach, combining online modules with in-person workshops and networking events. Special attention will be paid to creating a sensory-friendly and inclusive environment where participants can thrive.
The program will offer various levels of support, from initial business concept development to scaling existing ventures. Participants will have access to seed funding opportunities and guidance on securing further investment. The program will conclude with a pitch showcase. The Reeds Fund is committed to providing long-term support to ensure the success of the entrepreneurs participating in the program.
“We understand that starting and growing a business can be challenging, and we want to provide a tailored and supportive pathway for young adults on the autistic spectrum to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams,” added Co-Founder Melanie Reeds. “The Perry Benjamin Hall Entrepreneurship Program is designed to be a game-changer, fostering independence and economic empowerment.”
The program will be open to young adults between the ages of 18 and 28 who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
Applications for the inaugural cohort will be accepted beginning May 1, 2025, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis and accepted until June 13th.
