Baltimore, MD – July 6, 2025 – The Reeds Fund, dedicated to empowering young adults with autism, proudly announces the successful launch of its inaugural Perry Hall Entrepreneurship Program. This groundbreaking initiative celebrates its first class of participating entrepreneurs, all of whom are neurodiverse individuals or have businesses supporting the neurodiverse community.
The Perry Hall Entrepreneurship Program, a core initiative of The Reeds Fund, is specifically designed to foster financial independence and business growth within the neurodiverse community. Over several months, participants have engaged in intensive workshops, received personalized mentorship, and developed comprehensive business plans. The program equips these inspiring individuals with essential skills in business strategy, marketing, finance, and legal frameworks, guided by experienced business leaders and experts in neurodiversity.
"We are incredibly excited to introduce the inaugural cohort of the Perry Hall Entrepreneurship Program," said Melanie Reeds, Co-Founder of The Reeds Fund. "This program is a direct reflection of our mission to educate, advocate, and liberate young adults on the autistic spectrum. By providing targeted resources and a supportive environment, we are not only nurturing innovative businesses but also creating pathways for neurodiverse individuals to achieve economic empowerment and thrive within Maryland's vibrant economy."
The inaugural class represents a diverse array of entrepreneurial ventures, demonstrating the remarkable talent and unique perspectives within the neurodiverse community. From a dessert shop hiring autistic young adults to creative arts businesses fostering inclusion, these entrepreneurs are poised to make significant contributions.

The program will culminate in a public pitch showcase on November 5th, 2025 where the entrepreneurs will present their businesses for cash awards sponsored by The Reeds Fund and have access to investors and business leaders eager to further support their ventures. Further details about this showcase event will be announced in the coming months.

The Reeds Fund is committed to the ongoing success of the Perry Hall Entrepreneurship Program, establishing it as a model for inclusive economic development and a testament to the power of neurodiversity in entrepreneurship.
